Someone has hacked into my yahoo email account. What can I do?

My password has been changed by someone I don’t know. I know I can notify yahoo with this problem, but I’m worried they might not be able to help me. What could this do with my information? Could they access other accounts that I have?? I’m just wondering what the worst situation that could happen is.
