Anyone know if someone would have a problem returning to the States with a passport that is expiring within two weeks of their arrival?

I know that the Feds are not recommending that you travel abroad with a passport that is expiring within 6 months. Anyone have knowledge about whether there would be a problem with returning from lIving abroad with a passport that will expire within a few weeks? I plan to search the web as well.
