I need a good brand of protective sunscreen got any ideas?

I used the Coppertone sport SPF 50, yesterday, and I reapplied it liberally several times. But I still managed to get burned really bad.
So my question is, does anybody know any good sunscreen, that will help prevent me from getting burned?
