New dog won't go to the bathroom, it has been 40+ hours :(

We picked up our new dog Kallie, Saturday around 5:30 pm. It is now 10am on Monday and she still has not gone to the bathroom.

She was drooling a lot on the car ride home and got sick when we eventually arrived home, so I thought maybe all of that just got her really dehydrated and nervous. However, she has eaten a little bit of food and has been drinking water very regularly and still hasn’t gone!

I am certain she hasn’t gone in the house, I have checked. I know she has to go sometime, I just want her to know it’s ok to go! Any suggestions?
