I’m looking to purchase a good personal optical microscope and currently in the process of drafting an inquiry to the life science departments of several local universities.
I need something with a minimum top magnification of 1000x, but I’m wondering whether I can swap a 100x oil immersion lens into a student scope to which I have access.
So…
Do objective lenses for optical scopes have standardized diameters/threads?
