How could I make homemade aromatheraphy?

I have been using aromatherapy for quite a long time for my daily lifestyle and part of my yoga ritual. I use some variety of aromatherapy that I bought from beauty center(quite expensive) and I also bought a book about how to use aromatherapy. I want to make my own aromatherapy but I just don’t know how to do it or what equipment be necessary. I would like to use general ingredients like orange skin,lemon skin,mint,etc for starter. So I want to know if you have any idea/suggestion about how to make homemade aromatherapy,it would be very appreciated here. Thank you.
