Why are some stores rejecting taking coupons printed on home printers?

The going fad is to save money. instead of mailing cigarette coupons, Marlboro is now emailing my coupons to my computer to be printed. everything, on the coupons, appears to be the same as the mailout coupons. the UPC and individual names appear on each printed coupon. so, why are some stores rejecting them?
