Is it normal to have spikes in your blood pressure?

I went to the doctor today, for a quick check up and my blood pressure was higher than normal. Usually it’s 120/80 but today it was 139/87. I have no clue what that means I just know it’s high.
I have never seen my blood pressure so high, even when I weighted more. She said for me to come back in to check again next week.
So I was wondering, is this normal?
