Are you really as smart as you think you are? What makes you think so? Got proof?

There are a couple of people in my life I like to call uber chochems they seem to always (think they) know the answer to everything, and worse, they are sure it’s the correct one (or way) to everything. They also like to mention at the drop of a hat just how insanely smart they are – ad nauseum.

Not just smarter than you and I; handsomer, cleaner and possessing uncanny x-ray vision, too.

What makes them so cocksure about everything?

Is it their incredulous I.Q. – perhaps “objectively tested” and in the high 140’s or 150’s?

Is it the vast amount of knowledge they possess and are able to dispense at the drop of a hat?

Is it their uncanny secretary-like super power of speed-typing enabling them to google anything in a single bound – copy/pasting wikipedia articles at the speed of light?

Are they really as smart as they think they are?

Perhaps they are really just average thinkers with a lot of emotional baggage?
