Does anyone have experience living in Texas? (The Houston area, specifically)

My aunt and her family live in Houston not sure what part… I know Houston is huge though... She asked me today if I’d be willing to move to Texas with them and be a nanny for their two kids.
I adore them. And I’m really considering going down there.

Considering that it’d be a big move, I have a lot of questions.

1.) What is there to do as far as entertainment for a 19 year old? Or your favorite things to do.. I know there’s a lot to do.
2.) What is there to do with two kids ages 5 and 3?
3.) Assuming there are community colleges, what are they like?
4.) How is the music scene down there?
5.) Is bike riding most places instead of driving possible? How are driving conditions?
6.) I’d need somewhere to ride horses. It’s Texas… I assume that’s not going to be too difficult.
7.) Anything cool for geeks? Comic stores..etc.?
8.) Weather. Can the weather be summarized?

I have no idea what I’m forgetting to ask… is there anything else you can tell me about living in Texas?
