How do I get pixel measurements on a layout prototype easily?

I have a prototype design for a website design. I would like to save work for the developer by putting (spacing) measurements on the image. I am looking for a tool or feature that will let me just drag a line and it stays on the image, with the pixel lenght of that measurement line. I am using Adobe Fireworks, but any tool would also do. Thanks!
