How do you think people develop affinity for certain foods...

… that you wouldn’t consider to be “familiar” to them? By way of example, I LOVE many different types of Asian cuisine, but grew up in an Italian family eating, well Italian food. The flavor profiles of Italian and say Korean are extremely different, yet I love both.

To what could you attribute that?
