How can I get my blog to be read?

Well I started this blog about the first book I’m writing and so far I have joined Facebook, Shelfari, and Twitter as sites to let more people know about what I’m doing. So far I only have about 21 followers I would say. I don’t know what else to do, I feel like knowing that a lot of people are reading and following my blog it will give me motivation on my book!
