Traveling from Cleveland to Jersey Shore. Where to stop with kids for night?

This Saturday I’m traveling with wife and kids to the Jersey Shore from Cleveland and we want to break the trip (roughly) in half. We can take the northern route through PA or Southern through Philly. Anyone have suggestions for breaking up the trip with an overnight Saturday night somewhere? Out kids are 7 and 4 yrs. old.
