San Francisco is fine, if you live there. It’s as far away from the East as a trip to the Far East. Those of you Americans who live relatively close to each other (I know it can still be hours away, I’ve been there) could meet, if you so choose.

But what about the Aussies and Kiwis?

What about the Brits and the Dutch?

I suggest an alternative – equally far from all of you – but perhaps one of the most important and interesting (and oldest) places on earth: Jerusalem.

Think about it: Jews Christians and Muslims all consider it to be one of the holiest places, or in the very least, one of the most fascinating.

I have connections in both tourism (for staying, and travelling) and also can get literally Israel’s best tour guide (English speaker) for the trip of your lifetime.

Throw in some Zen politics and humour (oy) and I’ll even whip up my famous shakshuka and lasagna.

Next year in Jerusalem? Maybe we could get a group discount.
