Near miss with disaster in a jet, do you fly again and soon?

You are flying home and your jet hits violent turbulence and thrashes about. Then it rolls to the left and drops 15,000ft in 75 seconds, then you have to make an emergency landing. You have to fly in 10 days because of business, or you won a vacation, do you think you dodge a bullet and not you are good to fly many more years without anything happening? Do you think you dodge a bullet and it was an omen to consider a different mode of travel other than flying?
