Looking for info on the Bose Soundlink system?

I know there are pros and cons to Bose products. I own and love the original radio/cd player, and the iPod dock. I’m thinking of getting the Soundlink, which seems to be a USB device that will wirelessly broadcast tunes from your laptop through the Bose system. Brilliant concept, pricey gadget (around 550, I think). What is your experience? Opinions? Thanks!
