Where can i read about Muslim beliefs and an English version of the Koran on the internet?

I just received an email about Muslim beliefs – that the men can marry a girl as young as 1 and must consumate this marriage by the time the girl turns 9. It’s very possible that this is true but i know there are a lot of false rumors on the internet. I would like to read myself to see if it’s true.

Is there a place i can read English interpretation of the Koran and Muslim beliefs on the internet? i googled and found Wikipedia, but it says the article has multiple issues or something like that.
