Do you like cute? Or does it make you puke? Why do you think you react that way?

I’m wondering how much of our reaction to cuteness helps us, say, take care of babies. I guess we expect people to have positive reactions to cuteness, but what about negative ones? Where do those come from? Is it a cultural thing—learned over time, or do you think it is a more unconscious reaction—one we aren’t really in control of?
