Help me find this word?

It means disarray, extremely cluttered and unorganized, and it starts with the letter ‘a’... its similar to artichoke, actually. Its one of those bizarre words, but I can’t think of it.

Something like akitochi, achitoki, atichoki… any ideas?

“Akimbo” is a great word but refers only to hands on hips and elbows turned out, unless there have been new meanings added.

“Anarchic” refers to rules, principles or occasionally humor/wit but is also a wonderful word.
