I have a friend who has a verizonwireless phone and they would like to disconnect it.Is there any possible way i can use their number as my own using my metro phone?

Not sure what metro is, but I suppose cancel your number, give your metro phone to your friend, have your friend go into Verizon to cancel, and have your friend tell Verizon to port his/her number over to the metro phone. Then have your friend give you back your metro phone.

you wouldn’t go to verizon, you would go to metro. have your friend go to metro with you, have them port the number. this cancels the verizon service and moves it to metro. now switch the account from their name to yours.
