How to post on new facebook?

You can’t send private messages or you can’t post status updates? The empty field at the top of the news feed is gone, but you can just click on whatever type of post you want to make to your profile (Status/Photo/Link/Video).

Confirming what @seelix stated. At the top under “News Feed” you can click what you want to share. There are options for Status, photo, link, and video.

Hi, it still functions like the old one. I am pertaining to the version before timeline had its toll. Though, I think you if you want your posts to be private you have to again customize your settings. You want to post on face book just click on the empty text box at the top of the website & write whatever you want, their are other option available like linking, video, picture etc . for your post more attractive & informative.
