Do we have any Aussie jellys affected by the flooding and is there anything we can do to help?

Asked by Adirondackwannabe (36713points) January 13th, 2011

Queensland has been taking a major pounding for the last couple of weeks, so just wondered if it affected any jellys? There’s at least 6 dead and 40 missing Aussies. Anything your fellow jellys could do to help out?

If anyone is looking to donate, this site is run by the department of the Premier. It has a bunch of different options – you can donate online, mail a cheque, donate by phone, or by internet banking.

I wish I could afford to help, but I’ll just have to make do with sending my best to anyone affected by this.

My husband and I donated and his company made a nice contribution to the Queenslanders affected by the floods. Such a terrible disaster. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims.

Anyone heard from Shrubbery? Is she in that area?

@augustlan – Ali and Blue are in Tasmania (Hobart to be exact). They are safe.

@Not_the_CIA Thank you. I am geographically challenged. :)

Do we have any jellies in Brazil (over 500 dead), or Sri Lanka (23 dead, 1 million people displaced)?...

@harple I don’t think we do. I sure hope not. So sad.
