How can I save this video to my computer? I suppose it's a regular FLV...

Asked by rexpresso (922points) January 26th, 2011

I know there are tools to save videos from widely known sites like Youtube and such… but for this case, what do you suggest? I would like to avoid having to rely on a screen recorder. Thanks!

This is a tough one. The video is an RTMP stream, so you may be able to find an RTMP ripper on the internet. I don’t know of any 100% for-sure virus-free rippers however.

Real Player can save and also has great conversion tools.
I have used it for years and have no issues with this product and would highly recommend it

For YouTube and other video sharing sites, you can use ClipNabber. It doesn’t do protected video, like when Comedy Central posts full episodes of The Daily Show. Sometimes Real Player will catch those, but a lot of times you simply have to rely on the screen recorder for those.

No such luck, pretty well protected.

You might try RealPlayer. This software has the ability to save any video from the internet to your computer. I’ve used it many times and it works fine. RealPlayer is free to download.
