Can you help me find a place where I can get a replacement feather band for a cowboy hat?

Asked by Dutchess_III (26884 points ) February 1st, 2011

I’ve been looking, but all I come up with are places that sell entire hats, not just the band.

This hat was given to me when my Dad died so it’s important to me to preserve it to as close to its original condition and look as possible.

What kind of feathers are on his band? Can you tell?

I’ve always been fond of this little applett… ;)

@YoBob I did that. I’m not finding anything that matches the band on his hat. Not on the site those guys posted either…..

@Dutchess_III That site has contact information – you may be able to send them the photo and have them match it as closely as possible.

Try Stetson Maybe you will find something there.Or craft one out of macaroni for a different look…or maybe not :)

I just looked at your photo.I am not sure where you can buy one.I know they do sell colored feathers at the craft stores.Perhaps you can replicate or replace it on your own.Another option is a milliner.Good luck.
It is cool that you have that hat as a rememberance :)

Thanks @syz…. I can’t do a different look…this is going to be much harder than simply Googling! So there @YoBob!

Hey, I wasn’t trying to be snarky. You mentioned that you had already Googled and it made me think of that “here let me google that for you” applet.

Not the first time my sense of humor has fallen flat… ;)
