I've been having dreams of two dogs what do they mean? (details inside on them).

Asked by Vincent_Lloyd (3007points) February 19th, 2011

Okay so lately I’ve been thinking of these two dogs named Kona and Kai. They were old dogs that my family had before I was born. I’ve met them before, just I was too little to remember. But Kai…At the moment I don’t remember how he died…But Kona died from eating bad meat that was thrown in the back of our backyard by the neighbors, and we didn’t know till we found her lying on the ground with her mouth foaming…That’s how my mom told me how she died…But I’ve been having dreams of them…I’m not sure if what they look like in my dream is what they looked like in reality…But Why have I been dreaming of them? It’s a question I can’t answer.

I THINK that your just really touched by the death of one of them and your brains unconciously thinking about it.maybe even about how the other one died.

In dream symbolism, images of two dogs means sex.

You never mentioned what your dogs are doing in your dreams. That give a lot more clues. Perhaps Kona’s death is symbolic of something in your life now. Someone that died unfairly, or maybe a child that died young. Or maybe the two dogs are just reminding you of your childhood, and you are missing that now. Dogs are generally symbolic of loyalty and friendship. Did you maybe lose a good friend recently? There are many things that your dreams could symbolize, but most likely you are the only person that could answer that.

Because you’ve been thinking about them.

Like @jmbnjcl, you only gave us the characters in the dream, but you said nothing about the plot. Without plot, any interpretation isn’t worth the electrons it’s made of.

The dogs represent an element of yourself—a part of your personality—perhaps something about the way you were back in your childhood, or something you associate with childhood. I suspect they stand for memory—memory of things that you can not remember.
