What is the most common sleeping dream most people have?

Sexual dreams.

I believe the commonest one is falling, but I can’t find any evidence either way.

I always have dreams that certain people who are close to me have been shot, or dreams that I am trapped in a room with no doors. Maybe I’m a freak! I get the falling dream most often when I have dosed off (or happen to be in class).

I don’t remember my dreams all that often, but one that seems to occur most frequently is the falling one like @downtide said.

I would say something to do with work. I rarely dream of falling.

Falling, flying and being chased seem to be quite prominent with many people, including me.
I also regularly have dreams either about zombie invasions, or that I’m killing people.

I can say the “being trapped” dream has been a common theme of mine over the years, not so much sex and no romance to think of. Zombies never came into the equasion, I wonder if it is because I didn’t grow up with video games or the likes?

I wonder why being chased or falling is such a commone theme?
