Fluther icons?

Asked by psyla (2544points) April 28th, 2008 from iPhone

How does Fluther decide what picture icon to assign to its members? The assigned pictures seem to be related to our User Names. My picture icon looks like a “psyla”. Is it possible to upload our own picture icons?

You can choose from various options available or you can upload your own. Go to “My account” and then “change your picture”.

The default picture is random, but I think that anyone who registers from the iPhone starts with the cat first. From a computer I’d just hands you a random avatar. As syz said, you can chair it to a different default picture, or upload one of your own.

Ah! Thank you! I registered from an iPod iTouch (it has a Safari wireless browser). I didn’t get the cat, I got that Psyla-looking thing. I can’t access the icon option from this iPod (can’t get flash animations either, but otherwise the iTouch browser is superior to Palm Pilots, the LifeDrive, & Blackberrys). I’ll have to pull out the laptop & check the icon options later on.

I registered from my iPhone, but got the purple-ish one….which I quite liked, but decided to experiment.

Your wildflower icon looks like a galaxy-wildflower, and your icon, iwamoto, well, it looks like iwamoto! Both your icons are excellent. If you google “psyla” you’ll see why mine is appropriate.

Yes, it is true, there are some days when everyone may hate a person, but this just makes the person stronger and more independent. Personally, it was only 2 Mondays ago when everyone hated me, but this was fine for me. It’s kind of nice to be hated every once in awhile. It’s very uplifting. I recommend having everyone hate you occasionally on a regular basis as it contributes to one’s overall health and stamina.
