Do sheet clips work?

Asked by Sunny2 (18842points) August 17th, 2011

We have a bed for which you can raise the head and the foot. The problem is that the bottom fitted sheet doesn’t stay put. I can order elastic bands with clips which are supposed to hold the sheet on the mattress, but do they work? Do the clips really hold the sheet in place? Has anyone tried them?

Make your own with thin elastic and safety pins (or clothes pins). Easy enough.

I had some 2 years ago or so. They worked until we washed them then back to the old wya of rearranging them every night. But if they are cheap you can try and see if they work better for you.

You can also get (or make) elastic yokes that sit under the mattress, with clips at the four corners of the bed. That way you don’t have to modify individual sheets, and the clips are always there when you change the fitted sheet.

I have some that I use on a sheet where the elastic is all stretched out.
They work quite well. They have a garter clip on the end of the elastic. Sometimes it can be hard to get it hooked over the sheet fabric.

They work for me, but they are hard to attach to the sheet. I ended up using safety pins. I suggest you simply use elastic and safety pins.

Yes, they work.

@everybody Thank you all for answering. I tried the elastic and safety pins across the corners and the sheets stayed in place. Now for the next problem. I don’t know what it will be, but there will be something.
