What's the best place to vacation, anywhere in the world?

Machu Picchu is my ultimate vacation I wanna take. It’s and ancient Inca Village in Peru completely untouched by modern people. You have to take 3 day hike to get up there. (I wouldn’t wanna take the train).

My battery is dieing on Lap Top.

Is budget an issue, or is the sky the limit?

@ simone: one of the sundials was destroyed while filming a beer commercial up there, so it is touched somewhat.
the great thing about machu pichu is that no one knows the purpoe of the town.

i want to go to greece and rent a boat and go to all the islands. also, stop in turkey and go there for 2 weeks.

I would second Greek islands as a great destination. I’ve been to Rhodes twice and it’s fab! But I’d love to visit Santorini next.

Catalina Island off the coast of California is nice for a quick romantic getaway.

I would love to see Scotland myself- as well as Near Sawry England.
As I have not yet been to these places I cannot say if they are romantic per se.

Whatever you do, skip the standard destinations like Hawaii or Cape Cod, traditional resorts are good places to go only if you’re going to live there.

Gibbs beach in Barbados is beautiful. Fantastic views, amazing villas, food cooked for you by chef. Also some excelent sea food restaurants. You can see some amazing fish and swim with turtles which is something I’ll never forget. The beach is beautiful at sunset and night.
Venice is great too but can be a bit full of tourists.

This has got to be the coolest, most romantic vacation, period. A pretty penny though.

Dubai!! There is absolutely no place like it anywhere else in the world. DEFINITELY go and see the Burj al Arab. That hotel is breath taking and the view from the Skybar is gorgeous. Swimming in the Persian Gulf was awesome. The water is warm – I could have floated there forever. Go on a desert dune ride for sure. I had sooo much fun at the dunes. Shopping at Souk Madinat Jumeirah. That souk is inside a hotel, so it’s equipped with AC. Definitely go to the Old Gold Souk.

Ahhhh.. so much to say. Dubai is just an amazing place. I can’t wait to go back! =]
