Have you ever actually benefited from blaming somebody else for your problems?

People do it all the time, but do they actually derive a benefit?

Sure. The benefit of staying in denial.

At the least it is immature, at the worst it is a trait of personality disordered types.

Unless someone is holding a gun to your head you’re at the wheel of your own accord.

Never. I have a conscience. But that being said, it might have been nice if others had one too. Then I wouldn’t have had to take the hit by myself and I might have been just a bit more proactive in SHARING the blame rather than constantly being held at the throat of my own self defense.

You can’t compete against someone who has no conscience. Which is at least part of the definition of a sociopath.

I think I probably have a few personality disorders, but I try not to use them as weapons unless I am protecting myself in some way. Then I think, they come in rather handy. LOL
