Should the woman who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment be allowed to talk?
She signed an agreement to never talk about what happened, she received some money for the deal, and now she is trying to get some sort of exemption. Her lawyer said Cain broke the deal himself by saying he remembers she had some problems at work, basically questioning her value as an employee. I’m not sure if she was laid off or what? She feels slandered I guess and wants to tell her side.
What do you think? Should she be allowed to speak?
Personally I think maybe she should be allowed to defend herself about the accusation of having troubles at work or being a bad employee. Pull her HR file if it is available, or have colleagues comment on her good work. But I don’t think she should be allowed to speak out about the sexual harassment. Unless maybe she wants to pay back the money.
