Tumblr because I like its simplicity. It feels fresh too. The community (and the way interactions function) make it a completely different experience than traditional blogs, though. So if you’re looking for the normal post and comment design, go with Wordpress.

LiveJournal has an annoying layout. Wordpress is user-friendly but it feels a little cold to me. Maybe if I were a professional blogger I would get more use out of it. Blogger feels similar to Wordpress to me. Xanga reminds me a bit too much of middle school; I was never terribly fond of it.

Livejournal used to be really good but they’re dying now. They’ve had to add a lot of ads to stay afloat, and people don’t really go there anymore, which means you’ll get no readers.

I like Blogspot and Wordpress now.

I don’t like Tumblr personally because it seems like writing and reading posts isn’t encouraged so much as posting funny pictures and shit, and that’s not what I blog for. If that’s what you like, though, go for it.

Tumblr. I’ll read stuff on other services, but it’s helpful if it’s crossposted into Tumblr so I can read it there.

@Mariah Very true, but it depends a lot on who you follow on Tumblr. Follow the right people, and you get lots of writing and dialogue.

Wordpress, hosted on my own server. This gives me the framework But I can keep it in my domain. I think it depends what kind of blog you want; but I’ve really enjoyed customizing Wordpress templates.
