Whats a good electric shaver to use on my scalp?

Asked by Moegitto (2310points) December 28th, 2011

Being a diabetic, I can’t use a regular razor blade to shave my scalp. Right now I just use clippers with no guard to get an extremely low cut, but I want to go bald (smooth). I was wondering if there are any electric shavers that would do a decent job of getting a close scalp shave?

No electric shaver will give you the closeness of a blade, shaving cream and water.

You are very limited on an electric razor,

Honestly, I have not foud an electric razor to use on my face, much less one to use on scalp.

Norelco use to be a good electric razor. You might try it.

Use a pre-shave talc like FaceSaver, make the shaver glide easier.

@john65pennington I use Norelco for my face (USED, I’m currently in my winter mode)
@Tropical_Willie I can use blades at all, diabetics have poor blood flow and the tiniest little grave on my head would take weeks to heal right.

@Moegitto I was talking about when you buy the electric shaver. The talc lubricates the skin, I understand the nicks and all.

@Tropical_Willie Isn’t Talc like powder?

Yes, it can be a powder but look up “FaceSaver” it is a solid. I use to use a Norelco and always had a stick of something like FaceSaver.
