Bleeding would be a very severe burn. Can you see blisters? Mouths heal very fast typically, but for a burn that is bleeding possibly you need to see a doctor? I am really not sure. I’ll send this to a doctor.

FYI, next time you burn your mouth on food immediately take a glass of cold water, drink a mouth full hold it in your mouth to cool the burned area for a few second, then do it again two more times. Cold water really does stop a burn from being really bad, and that goes for burns on your hand when cooking, run very cold water or soak in very cold water for a minute. It has to be done immediately after the burn for it to really work.

Oh, for the pain you can take Tylenol/Acetemenophine for now, it should help. Tylenol, not Aspirin nor Ibuprofen.

In the uk we have this good stuff called Bonjella. Its specifically for mouth stuff and you can get it in most chemists. Dont know if its available anywhere else tho.

How to treat mouth burn:
* 1 Put an ice cube in your mouth immediately to lessen the pain and minimize the swelling and additional irritation that may occur.
* 2 Gargle with cold water or eat a frozen ice pop. This will provide temporary relief from minor pain caused by the burn.
* 3 Avoid foods that are “sharp” in taste and texture. Spicy foods can increase pain, and sharp foods, such as chips or nut brittle, can aggravate a lesion.
* 4 Treat the burn or lesion with an over-the-counter pectin ointment or topical mouth analgesic containing benzocaine. Apply the medication directly to the burn to protect as well as heal.

Orajel is a pretty good oral topical anesthetic, too. Just don’t overdo it.

Orajel is a good idea.

Is it just me, or have most people never even heard of burning your mouth so bad that it bleeds? That’s some crazy sh*t!
...like, we’re talking the hottest sandwich this side of the freakin sun!

Anyways, as far as what to do about it… I’m sorry friend, I don’t know what to tell you. There’s a Japanese drink made from aloe vera, maybe that would help?
