[NSFW, possibly] How much does Cialis for daily use cost?

Asked by ETpro (34605points) February 21st, 2012

Like many men my age, I have ED problems. I also have BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia or enlarged prostate). I take Flomax to manage the pressure BPH puts on the urethra passing through it. But recent ads for Cialis for daily use note that it also helps treat the symptoms of BPH. I just wondered how much a month’s supply costs. Also, does anyone know how well it works, and how common the listed side effects are? I have a checkup scheduled March 9th, and would like to sort through whether to ask the doc about it or just let it slide. I do have prescription drug coverage, but if I suddenly add a costly new item, my carrier will bump my rate to recoup the cost.

Since there is no generic yet, at minimum strength (2.5 mg) its around $4 per pill.

At maximum strength, you’re talking upwards of $700.00 per month.

And that was using an app which provides a discount program for lowest price at most pharmacies.

If you had prostate cancer your Uro would give you 20 mg doses for post surgery therapy to keep the blood flowing. Daily use is 5 mg.
Ask your doc for samples. Many guys have severe back pain when they take it. No sense paying for a prescription if you can’t use it.

@gailcalled & @Buttonstc That’;s prohibitively expensive.

@LuckyGuy Great idea I;ll ask for the free 30-day trial and see if I think it’s worth the tarrif. I;m sure my Medicare Part D carrier gets a better rate than retail.
