What's the most secure file sharing site?

I found Limewire to be very buggy and virus heavy, but I don’t know any others.

You might want to try a Bittorent client such as utorrent or Azureus. As with anything, be careful what you download.

The problem with P2P software is that anyone can see what you’re sharing/downloading.
Newsgroups is probably one of the safer choices, though you will have to pay for a subscription if you want access to a decent server. The good thing about news is that you do not share anything with others, and only the news provider (and your ISP if you’re not using an encrypted connection) can see your activity. The only way to get caught would be if someone forces the news provider to log your activity, which to my knowledge hasn’t happened so far. They probably prefer to go after the ones who share as well, since that will fetch significantly larger fines.
