MPC, MPD32, or Roland-SP 404?

Asked by speakerhead (256points) May 28th, 2008

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I should get between these three products. I want to get the MPD just because I have all the gear needed for that, but should I save and get an MPC or Roland?

I use to use an MPC, and it worked pretty good for me. Yeah, it costs ya, but it’s definitely worth it. I don’t know much about the Roland, so I can’t tell ya nothing about that one. Are you buying new, or used?

Also, which series are you thinking about getting? The last one I bought was an MPC 2500. As I stated above, it worked amazing for me.

I’m kind of on a budget, and the MPC 2500 is $1700, so maybe the MPC 1000 or 500.

The MPC 500 is good, because you can take the stuff you do on there, and put it on another model. If you’re going for the 1000, make sure you get the 1000BK-N. Some of the other series of 1000’s had a problem with the drum pads.
