how do I hack my iphone?

waterskier2007's avatar

well i dont know because i tried once and then screwed up my phone and had to restore it. i believe you can search “jailbreaking” on google because thats what its called, im pretty sure

flip193's avatar

http://ziphone.org download ziphone for windows or mac and then click on the jailbreak button and then once the process is done unlock your iphone and click on the new app called installer and go into the tab sources and at the top left click edit add and put the source i told you in and then go back to install and get the iphone video recorder and then click the home button once installed

then again, an iphone is for calling, surfing, and music, a video camera is for shooting video, just use the device that does the best job…i mean, i never shoot pictures with my cellphone, it just gives ugly pictures…

waterskier2007's avatar

@iwamoto, same here, the only time i snap a phone picture is if i dont have my vid camera with me and i see something i need a picture of.

this is just great, comedy gold, anyway, i won’t go any further with this, the fact that you said “im more mature than you” proves the opposite, so now lets just wait for the PAYSACH22 to post he bought a vid. cam

Flip sounds like another zack-incarnate.

he is gonna hack his phone

iwamoto's avatar

even if he does, he’ll find out sooner or later that a dedicated device is the way to go

waterskier2007's avatar

@flip, i think we understood that he wants to hack his phone but iwamoto was trying to say that just buying a video camera makes sense because taking video on the iphone is a waste of time. but i forgot you are more mature than me so you knew all of this

and by saying the line about me sitting on my phone all day you are wrong. you are the one that jailbroke your phone, aka spending more time on it than i did

Why is capturing video on a iPhone a bad idea? The quality might be shitty but it works. I don’t normally (99% of the time) carry a camcorder with me but I use my Canon A560 for shooting bad video all the time. It gets the job done and I don’t have to carry around a ton of extra crap.

Sometimes crappy is good enough.

true john, i too can shoot some pretty decent footage with my Lumix tz1. but a camera on a phone, that’s just…no, that just won’t work

jrpowell's avatar

But it is better than not having a camera at all. And people capture interesting videos all the time on cell phones. The quality is bad but it is certainly better than nothing at all. Most of the interesting (and sad) footage from the train bombings in Madrid came from cell phones. Same thing in London.

k so I did the jailbreak thing, got the video recorder, even got a registration code so i can record longer than 30 seconds, which is frickin awesome!! Now, how do I get the video files out the phone and into my computer? I can’t email or youtube the videos if they’re too long…so what can I do?
