US Postal Service First Class Mail Time?

Asked by Mrs_Dr_Frank_N_Furter (587points) June 9th, 2008

How long using US Postal Service First Class Mail does it take for a letter/package to get from North Carolina to Washington?

Also, using Standard Int’l Flat Rate Shipping, how long does it take to get a package from Onterio, Canada to Washington? I’m ordering some stuff and I want to know about how long it will take

DC or state? Either way, 2 – 4 days.

Now the Canada question I know. I can take a minimum of 3 weeks up to 5 weeks using standard shipping.
from N. Carolina to Washington I’ve had packages take up to a week to get to me. A little longer when they tried to deliver it to Portland instead of Vancouver. DUH! GUYS!
That’s my personal experience anyway. Hope that gives you a time line to make a guesstimate with.

Priority would probably work for N. Carolina to Washington. Canada though that could be spendy to speed things up.

Oh and my friend sent me some pasta from Canada to the US, and it looked like customs came close to cooking it for their lunch when I got it. GEEZ! No wonder it took like 4 weeks to get to me. :-P
