Who’s wackier? Smarter? Funnier? Who likes ‘em, out there?

Love them both. I don’t know Jonathan Coulton as well, though, so it’s hard to compare the two. They’re both great “nerd” music and have a similar musical style.

I don’t have the faintest idea who They Might Be Giants are but if they’re anything like “JoCo” I’ll have to look them up. I love his stuff, and I saw him live a couple of years ago.

Didn’t They might be giants do “Birdhouse in your soul”? That’s one of my all time favourite cheery tunes!

Yes, They do. They are cheery and good natured. I recommend “the sun” “the Edison Museum” “they got lost” Mammals” and “the statue got me high”.

@harple, did you know that song is about a night light? Listening to the lyrics with that in mind, the song gets about 100% cuter.

I’d recommend Dinner Bell (a song about Pavlov’s dog), She’s Actual Size (a song about being in love with a woman from a wanted poster), I Palindrome I (listen for lots of palindromes in the lyrics!), Doctor Worm (just plain silly), We Want a Rock (I think it’s about following the crowd with stupid trends)... and I better stop there, lol.

Now I’m on Youtube watching every TMBG video I can find. This one is the cutest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JdWlSF195Y
