My favorite shoes are about to bite the dust - Help!

Asked by RandomGirl (3362points) March 8th, 2013

I’ve had them for about 4 years. They’re finally giving up the ghost, and I can’t find them anywhere! Walmart doesn’t sell them (they told me specifically). Here is a picture of them. I hope the link works. What I like about them:
The convenience of being able to slip them on and off – this is important for my job, because I have to switch between snow boots and tennis shoes several times in a day.
The low back (In the last 6 months, I’ve wrecked two regular pairs of tennis shoes with their higher backs because, no matter how well they fit, I can’t slip them on and off easily.)
And, of course: Comfortability and quality!

I think maybe Danskin has quit manufacturing this shoe, so what I’m hoping for from my fellow jellies is this: Maybe someone has raving reviews of a pair of shoes that fits the bill. Links to where I could buy them would be especially nice. :)

My dear child, such is life, many things fade away. Shit, I have been mourning the loss of Green Goddess salad dressing for the last 30 years now. lol

@Coloma: I thought I’d try reaching out to my fellow Jellies before biting the bullet and buying my third pair in the last 6 months. Or trying to shop somewhere other than Walmart. ;)

@Adirondackwannabe: I googled it, and it seems that Dexter shoes are only sold at Payless Shoe Source near me. Hmm…

I found these and these at Payless. My preference for slip on comfort is something like this one from Lands End.

I’m not sure which response gave me the link to the shoes I’m going to buy, but I found them! Thanks so much!
