Did Fluther remove the ability to edit your own question?

Asked by buckyboy28 (4961points) May 13th, 2013

I haven’t been on this site for months. Blasphemous, I know. I just recently asked a question and wanted to throw a couple more details in there, but kept searching for the edit button to no avail. Where’s the little pencil at?

You can edit for 5 or 10 minutes after asking the question, then it stands as is.

It’s punishment for having abandoned us. You will earn that right back in time, or at the whim of Mistress @augustlan and her biting whip.

Whichever comes first.

Aha! I promise I won’t leave you guys for that long again. Thanks!

Welcome back, @buckyboy28! You get a short editing window, as @filmfann says, then you can’t edit any more. How long ago did you ask the question?

Your absence was noted @buckyboy28. You’re going to have to do some serious question answering and asking to sharpen our lurve pencils again.

Think of it this way: Fluther is a bit more forgiving than the real world.

How many times have words slipped through your social filters and escaped through your lips and you wish you could immediately rewind and make it not have happened?

Here, you have a few minutes for reparations. After that… it’s out there, warts and all. dum dum dum… Forever!”

@augustlan: Is it odd that I saw that image and immediately thought, “Mom?!” ?

Ya know, I don’t often take a turn for the weird here. What? So I gotta be @ETPro to make an oddball comment? ;^)
