It will become available at 10am PDT, 1pm EDT at http://www.getfirefox.com/ tomorrow, the 17th.
Until then, you can download a release candidate, help set a Guinness World Record by pledging to download Firefox 3 in the first 24 hours, or wait patiently!

No, I know about the Guiness World Record thing (thats why I’m downloading)

So wait,1 PM (-5:00 East coast) tomorrow?

1PM East Coast time tomorrow, yes.
If you’re not in the Eastern time zone, here is a list of local times for the release.

okay i have a question. if i already downloaded ff3 beta, can i still pledge and upgrade to the non beta version tomorrow? but do i need to upgradE? won’t it just upgrade for me automatically?

@PnL: I don’t know for sure, but as I recall betas and release candidates do not have the auto-update feature.

Edit: And yes, you can definitely still pledge and upgrade with your download being counted.

You just have to download it. It doesn’t count installs.

@PnL – if you’re unsure, just download it, doesn’t do any harm :)

I’m going to download it anyway even if I’m not installing what I downloaded :P

Half an hour! I’m pathetically excited.
I’m a Safari user on my Mac, and I’m thinking that this might be the time that I switch over.
I’m going to use FFX3 for a week, and see what I think.

The site went down about 42 seconds after the release time!
You know you have a popular product when that happens.

I really prefer FF over Safari on my ibook. I think you’ll like it.
