What's with the end of Bad Boys?

Asked by simone54 (7629points) August 5th, 2013

Bad Boys, great flick. I love the movie and consider it a classic but I just don’t understand the car chase at the end.

Why do they need to race to get through the gate? Wouldn’t it be fine if one car went through the gate then the next? If they got through first he’s got nowhere to go since he’s on a runway.

Which Bad Boys are you asking about- this one?

It’s a moment of heightened emotions. The bad guy may realize he could be caught later but he sure wanted the good guys who ruined everything for him dead at the end of that race. Good guys want him dead too instead of getting arrested. For both sides, how else to do it in a spectacularly painful way than that racing opportunity has given them-?

Good thing I don’t care for those movies or this might be considered a spoiler.

Because Michael Bay said so.
