What is the best widescreen hdtv for videogaming/movies?

Asked by pplufthesun (617points) July 2nd, 2008

I’m shopping to buy a new hdtv from the range of $1500—$2000. maybe a little bit more. It will be used for video games( ps3, Xbox 360, and wii) and Movies. Any recommendations. Additionally would a Sony KDS-55A3000 work? http://reviews.cnet.com/projection-tvs/sony-kds-55a3000/4505–6484_7–32468848.html?tag=txt

What size TV do you want? For that money I would shop for a 46 inch flatscreen, not a projection tv. But that’s just my personal preference. Sony just released a new line of XBR flatscreens which I’ve heard good things about.

Any HDTV you spend $1500+ on will be kickass.

Go with your opinion.

We love our 47” Vizio. We use it for everything. Xbox 360, DVDs, HD through cable, HD over the air. It has an optical out to our home theater in a box and great setting tweaks if that’s your thing.

They have a 52” that retails for $1999

I’m in love with my Sony Bravia.
