Do Chinese people tattoo English words on their bodies?

Asked by rojo (24179points) April 16th, 2015

I was noticing the large number of Chinese character tattoos (mainly on Caucasian body forms) that you see both on the internet and in real life and I was just wondering?
And, why Chinese glyphs and not Norse Runes? Is it because Runes are no longer used or because it would take more of them to say the same thing?

Well, they do put them on the cheap knockoffs they make.

Actually maybe a little less Chinese people do tattoos, I guess, and most of them are patterns or animals.

Runes are all formed from straight lines; perhaps the curls and complexity of occidental characters are more aesthetically pleasing? Also, using runes for decorative tattoos is asking for trouble from the gods. They are powerful symbols…
might be joking, might not be ;)
