Does Tinder make it easy to cheat?

Asked by Beibo (8points) January 11th, 2016

I’m new here. But this whole online dating is a new world. Is it impossible to trust people on these dating sites?

It’s not any different than meeting anyone, anywhere, it takes times to get to know someone.
If YOU have trust issues you will be paranoid about everyone. It’s called projection in psychology, transferring your own issues onto others. Take it slow, meet up with those that interest you for a “meet & greet” at a coffee place or local hangout, ask questions, but don’t come across like you’re a CIA interogator. haha

Trust” your instincts and be aware of your baggage

It’s impossible to trust anyone when you first meet them. Tinder is no different. So I guess you could say that Tinder makes it easier to meet untrustworthy people.

But the same can be said of singles bars, match.com, and for that matter, a lot of church socials.

The interesting thing about tinder is it cuts through a lot of the supposed “matchmaking” of most online dating, and forces one to get to know someone the old fashioned way, by actually talking to them and exchanging information, rather than reading a profile.

Tinder got a reputation early on for being a “swipe right for sex now” app, but in reality, most people on it are hoping to find a long term relationship.

And, like a lot of online dating, there are quite a few people who are on it just to get some risk free ego stroke by attracting potential dates, but never really dating.

I’m on Tinder and I see profiles all the time that state flat out “married”

I’ve never had it made so clear so fast with any other dating method.

I still think this very site could be a great place to meet people. You can tell a lot about a person by reading what and how they write.
