Can someone please help me solve this windows 7 script host error?

Asked by camego (22points) March 11th, 2016

So I had an annoying virus to which I downloaded an anti-virus. I ran the antivirus and clicked clean then it told me to reboot my PC so I did. Apparently this antivirus deleted some file that it shouldn’t have and the PC shows a black screen with a window in which the following message is written: “can not find script file “C:\Windows\run.vbs” and when I click ok, the black screen remains and I cannot access anything. It’s the same no matter how many times I reboot the PC.

Plz help me

If you still have the OS disc, I suggest booting into it and see if you can repair the system.

I kind of solved this problem and now I am facing a different one ’_
I followed certain instructions that I found on the internet involving the task manager
and through a few steps I made a change in the USERINIT making it:” C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe,”

but now it gives me the same black screen with a new message saying: “there is no script engine for file extension “.exe”

Do you have any idea how to solve this?
