How often is the App Store updated?

I was just wandering how long it take Apple’s App store to introduce new apps and introduce updates to those apps. Do they have a certain release date, like “every wednesday will will release new apps and updates to those apps,” or do they just randomly do what they fee like, when they feel like it?

Every day. The store periodically features new applications on the front page of the App Store, but everything else is added every day.

ah, ok. i wasn’t sure, because for that last few days the store doesn’t seem to update

also, another question i just thought of; is there a way of “bookmarking” an app? or a company?
